Waller discovers that she is diagnosed with a and reassembles Task Force X with a new roster: Deadshot, , , , , and. Captain Boomerang attempts to steal the card but is incapacitated by Zoom. The movie could almost work as a stand-alone film if needed as it has no problem killing off characters you'd suspect might be too notable to dispatch. Doubting the card works, Deadshot gives it to Tiger, who ascends to Heaven. Deadshot visits his estranged daughter Zoe but is forcibly retrieved by Tiger. And this is well in excess of normal Suicide Squad head explosions.
As Savage escapes, Zoom places a tracer on his ship. This movie actually has twists and character inclusions that I wasn't expecting and was overjoyed to see. It's best if you watched Flashpoint Paradox first which is another excellent movie by the way , but it's not really required. The one thing that bugs me about this film is that Deadshot's motivation is seeing his daughter again, which is the exact same thing they did for the other two films. This is spoler free version. If you want something which is very bloody, over the top violent and doesn't have Batman or Joker but still has the Suicide Squad in.
Kristin Bauer van Straten is also notable in a less comedic role as the always chilly Killer Frost. Frost double-crosses Zoom, killing Silver Banshee and Blockbuster and stealing the card for ransom. Regardless it didn't grip me like Assault on Arkham did. The mission succeeds, but Vertigo and Jewelee betray the team and kill Punch. Like the other two movies did.
Also the change of origin for Killer Frost was questionable being abused as a kid seriously? Everything was just spot on and blew me away. Zoom lures the Squad into a trap and detonates the bomb. But Waller overhears everything through Deadshot's communicator. I'd say this is a good watch for big fans, a passable one for casual ones but maybe a hard pass for everyone else. Gone are the cute quips, except for Harley who surprisingly is really only a background comic relief character.
The movie is full of dull situations that make no sense. Deadshot gives the now-useless card to the unsuspecting Waller before leaving. The story, animation, voice actors were all great. Tiger, dying from blood loss, uses the last of his strength to cut the fingers holding the card from Zoom's hand. I really enjoyed the Live Action one but Batman Assault on Arkham 2014 was even better! These deaths certainly lend weight to the overall story as the prospect of a permanent demise - and what, if anything, may await them on the other side - looms large over the entire story.
Yeah, I'm harsh but thats how I see this, so I'm really hoping Batman Ninja will be amazing and will make forgot this. So after those two great movies this one really upset me and I am heavily disappointed. I know it was rated R but so was Justice League Dark and there wasn't too much there to warrant that rating. As in viewers will actually be surprised at the twists when they unfold. Nobody who suffers through this will ever have to go to hell. It is the last film that Alan Burnett worked on before his retirement.
Zoom explains that he was killed by in , but managed to temporarily delay death by using the Speed Force. For once this movie hasn't shoved Batman or Joker down our throats. That is another benefit to these animated movies, they are not really marketed in no shape or form like the live action. This movie feels like it was written by a 13yr old who probably felt cool because he got to swear and put in adult material. Although I am still baffled about how on earth did Zoom survive his head shot from Flashpoint Paradox and why did he not try an revenge Flash but instead gain a beef with Task Force X.
People break in to kill him. Next day, Zoom's henchmen kidnap Frost at a gas station. Pretty much everything is cringe-worthy here even though some bits can be enjoyed solely because of the familiarity. And everyone wanted that darn card of Fate's because it allows you into heaven and Waller was dying and she wanted it. I highly recommend this movie. If you like the Suicide Squad then dont watch this movie it will piss you off with how bad it is. There are a number of bad guys.
Watch this movie without knowing much or anything about it and I promise you, you will be pleasantly surprised. This movie definitely delivers in those departments. Blood, gore, death, headshots, exploding heads, razor cuts, male strippers, lesbians making out, you would think a movie that has all this would be set for the more mature comics fan. R rated for gruesome bloody violence with a plot that might have been written by an 8-year-old combining a lot of things from the comic lore. Although we do see a flashback from Flashpoint with batman and Joker is mentioned once. Upon finding Scandal and Knockout's apartment, the team acquires the card, but they are intercepted by and his men.
